Admiral Packaging Expands Capabilities With Purchase of a 59" Gearless, 10-Color, Flexographic Printing Press
PROVIDENCE, RI, October 2007 -- Admiral Packaging, Inc. (formerly Union Industries, Inc.) announces the installation of a 59" Novoflex CM 10-color flexography press from Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corporation. This latest addition represents the seventh press Admiral has purchased from Windmoeller & Hoelscher and is the first 59" 10-color Novoflex CM to be installed in the United States. The investment in the Novoflex, along with its recent addition of a high-speed solventless laminator, positions Admiral for continued growth in the competitive flexographic packaging industry.
For Admiral's existing customers, the Novoflex press will provide fast turnaround and "gravure quality" printing from a competitively-priced, domestic source. In recent years, Admiral has experienced a strong demand for its flexible, stand-up pouches which will now be offered with the best printing technology available in North America.

The 59" Novoflex CM features 10-color printing for rich image reproduction and maximum printing width of 57" to improve press efficiency. The press is equipped with Windmoeller & Hoelscher's EASY-SET automatic impression setting and TURBOCLEAN inking and automatic wash-up systems which increase press accuracy while reducing the time required for press set-up and changeover. The new 10-color press will supplement Admiral's current 6-color and 8-color presses.
